British Council Websites

www.britishcouncil.org the main British Council site for the UK. Full of information about the British Council and its services.

www.educationuk.org the site to visit if you want to know more about British education. Includes a list of BC recognised EFL schools in the UK.

http://globalevents.britishcouncil.org for information about events organised by the British Council. You will certainly be interested in English language and education administration events, but there are also events for doctors, scientists, librarians and many others. Pass the word!

www.britishcouncil.it the British Council Italy site. Has information on courses, services and events in each centre in Italy.

www.britishcouncil.it/info the page on the British Council Italy site where you can download information sheets (fogli informativi) in Italian about study and work in the UK.

www.britishcouncil.it/events click here to see the British Council Events Programme in Italy. These events are open to members of the public and are free of charge. We have seminars on undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and choosing a language course in the UK. You and/or your students are welcome to attend.

www.encompassculture.com is a worldwide Reading Group, the place to find your next book and talk about books with other readers around the world. It has full details of over 6,000 books for all age ranges and is full of useful features.

www.i-uk.com a brand new stylishly designed site produced by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office with a wealth of general information and links regarding the UK.

www.britain.it the site of the FCO in Italy. Contains contact details of the British Embassy and consulates in Italy and useful data on passports, visas etc.

www.ucas.com the official site of the Universities and Colleges Application Scheme. Perfect for finding out about undergraduate university courses and application procedures in the UK.

www.floodlight.co.uk a fun site for choosing summer courses in London on any subject imaginable. You can choose from Aromatherapy to Yoga! A fantastic site for an online lesson - get your students to choose themselves a course!
